Each summer, Ag in the Classroom offers a multi-day teacher workshop designed to increase the knowledge of agriculture and help educators incorporate agriculture into their existing curriculum.
We invite teachers at all levels and in both traditional and non-traditional classrooms to spend time with us as they participate in engaging, hands-on agriculture-based activities that can be implemented in their classrooms. They will learn from experts in the field of agriculture and spend time visiting local farms and businesses. Guest speakers from Illinois commodities groups offer fun tips on incorporating their resources into classroom activities. Illinois Ag in the Classroom staff showcase new standards-based lessons that teach math, science, ELA and social studies. Educators are treated to great food, time for collaboration, FREE resources for their classrooms, and plenty of FUN!
Professional Development hours are offered.
